Mikail (b. 2002) is a multiracial artist practising on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people in Narrm (Melbourne, Australia).
Borne of lineage which converged from multiple diasporas, his work traces the fragile contours of identity; an ongoing negotiation shaped by borders and the narrow ideologies they impose upon an intrinsic sense of self.
Across varying mediums, he utilises materiality as a basis to mediate personal ideals, in order to construct intentional compositions which navigate a sense to his own understandings.
He is currently completing a Fine Arts Degree at the Victorian College of the Arts.
